  • Site evaluation – We inspect and measure the space in which we have to build/ renovate for the customer
  • Design discussion – We show different design catalogs to our client and discuss the merits and/or drawbacks if any.
  • Design review – Based on the designs selected, we build a 3D rendition of the space and gather approval from the client.
  • Selection process – We allow clients to select the hardware, and electrical parts, choice of paint, and other materials.
  • Design and Budget approval – Once we have approval on the design, we create a budget for the project and get it approved by the client.
  • Agreement and advance payment: We create a final agreement that explains the clear scope of work and tentative date for completion of the project.
  • Start of project: We begin the process of construction, renovation, or installation.

We take time with our clients during the design process to help understand the costs associated with your project. We also do our best to identify any options you may choose in the future and include pricing for those options in our proposal.

Typically, when we sign a contract with our client, we hold to the contracted price. We take the time to go over every detail of your project to ensure the cost is accurate. If there is any additional work or changes made to the project by the homeowner, this could be an additional charge, but our designers will go over the new changes with you before any charges are incurred.

Once we start your project, you will be assigned a project manager who will keep you updated with all the progress of the project.

Kitchen Renovations

Renovating the kitchen is the most popular type of major renovation in a home because it is the most active area of your home. It’s also the best way to increase a home’s value if it were to be put on the market. You can go for kitchen renovations for numerous reasons – increasing usable space, updating appliances and cabinetry, or they can be done in concert with other renovations.

Bathroom Renovations

Bathroom renovations are generally not on the same scale as kitchen renovations, but as they can involve plumbing and render a bathroom unusable during the process, they are major considerations. Bathroom renovations offer the means to increase luxury within a home in California. And increasingly being done to help a family save water and electricity with green fixtures.

Basement Renovations

Finishing a basement is one of the best ways to add usable space to a home in California. Basements can become full bedroom suites, or they might be used as movie rooms, game rooms, in-law suites, or full apartments, depending on the needs. These major renovations can involve an immense amount of work and design, as well.

Additions

Today adding a room (or more than one) is also very popular. Often, families with two or more children and not enough bedrooms choose to add on so each child can have their bedroom. However, adding on can also be done if you want to leave the majority of the home alone, but want to add an office, family game room, sunroom, or something else. These are major considerations, as the home’s internal structure will be altered during construction.

Adding a New Bathroom

For homes that have fewer bathrooms than is ideal, adding one is a very popular choice. This might be done to provide a private bathroom for children, or a guest bathroom that is not used by the entire family. However, because of plumbing considerations (and general construction), these are very major undertakings

Home Renovation and Remodel Costs:

On average, homeowners spend around $40,000 for home renovation/ remodeling. Depending on the choices and requirements, the cost of home remodeling can vary between $18,000 to $75,000. If you want to break it down in detail, bathroom remodeling can take up to $10,000, kitchen remodeling would need approximately $20,000-$25,000 if you have a basement count $20,000 to renovate it and keep another 20% to 30% of the budget for other upgrades.

Cost to Renovate a House Per Square Foot

Per square foot cost for the home remodeling varies based on the locality and space you own. On average, you may incur $10 to $60 per square foot, but it can also go up to $150 or even $200 per square foot. Urban areas with higher costs of living might end up costing double what you’d pay in a more rural place.

Bathroom remodeling faqs

We offer different types of bathroom remodeling such as:

Cosmetic Bathroom Remodels: This involves making small changes that will enhance the overall appearance of the bathroom. Example: installing a new sink, changing tiles, adding new cabinets or counters, etc.

Bathroom redesign – As the name suggests, this type of bathroom remodeling allows changing the complete design of the bathroom. One can make it a complete master bathroom, half bathroom, or a three-quarter bathroom. The bathroom redesigning option is considered when the bathroom usage, number of people using, and frequency of usage changes. Aging in place bathroom design: When you have decided that you will be living in the current home for a long time, you would want to make sure your bathroom allows easy accessibility to all the tools and you can move in and out comfortably. Example: Removing any steps, adding a shower seat, increasing the height of toilet seat, larger windows, better lights, wider doors, lever handles for the doors, and very few obstructions. Adding a new bathroom: If you have enough space, you can add an extra bathroom for your guests. If you add a new bathroom with proper planning it can also increase the home value especially if you are planning to sell it.

A typical bathroom remodel costs between $6000 to $10,000. If you are looking for a bathroom remodel on a budget, it will cost you around $2000. We also offer a premium bathroom remodeling service that costs around $20,000.

On average, a small complete bathroom remodel can be done in about 23 days under ideal circumstances. Assuming no work is done on weekends, this translates to about 4 1/2 weeks—slightly more than one month—if the work proceeds uniformly with no breaks

Construction FAQs

Fire-resistive Type I (IA and IB)

In fire-resistive construction, walls, partitions, floors columns, and roofs are made of non-combustible materials. Each material comes with fire-resistant ratings. These types of buildings are tall, made of poured cement and protective steel. This type of construction prevents fire from spreading.

Non-combustible Type II (IIA and IIB)

Non-combustible construction is very similar to fire-resistive construction, where all the materials used are non-combustible but have less resistance to fire. Compared to fire-resistive construction, non-combustible construction is less likely to prevent the spread of fire. This type of construction is called non-combustible because the material used in the construction does not add fuel when set on fire.

Ordinary Type III

Ordinary building construction is also known as brick and joist construction. It is made up of bricks or blocks of walls. These buildings have wooden roofs that are not fire-resistant. The interior structure is fully or partially made up of wood or combustible materials. Vertical ventilation facility is provided in these types of buildings.

Heavy Timber Type IV

These types of constructions are made of non-combustible exteriors and interiors. This type of construction uses solid or laminated wood. Every wooden element must satisfy a given dimension. Example: All the columns, beams, and girders must be at least 8 inches thick. Planks used for floors and rooftops must be minimum of 6 inches thick. If such a type of construction catches fire, it will need a lot of water to extinguish the fire but overall it can resist fire for a long time and does not collapse that easily due to its large structure.

Wood-Framed Type V

Wood-framed buildings are the most combustible out of all types of construction. They are the only construction type that allows combustible exterior walls. Type V also allows a combustible interior (structural frames, walls, floors, and roofs) made entirely or partly out of wood. This type is commonly found in modern homes. It often has exposed wood so there is no fire-resistance. It ignites significantly but is reasonably resistant to collapse unless it is a lightweight construction, in which case it will fail within minutes.

Wood-framed constructions are highly combustible compared to other types of constructions. Wood-framed construction has combustible exterior walls. Most of the interior is also made up of combustible material such as wood. Most modern homes are made up of such wood-framed construction. This type of construction has no resistance to fire but can hold up to collapse for some time. If the construction is lightweight, it will collapse immediately.
